Quick Tips For Using Our Stencils:
*Choose the right surface - Our stencils work on a variety of surfaces, from paper and fabric to wood and glass. Pick the material that suits your project best.
*Chalk or Ink - If you are creating on fabric, glass, or a project you want to be "permanent" then we recommend choosing a color from our ink selection. Ink can be heat set and make the project safe to wash.
*The stencils are a reusable silk screen material with adhesive on the back. Stencils last approximately 10-15 uses depending on how they are applied/removed, to what surface they are applied, and how well they are cleaned and stored.
*We recommend washing the stencil immediately after use. Use cool water to rinse off excess paste/ink. Do not let the stencil soak in standing water, as it will remove the stickiness on the back of the stencil. Once the stencil is rinsed off, you will want to dry it by laying it face down with the sticky side up. Once the stencil is dry, you can reattach the shiny side of the backer to the sticky side of the stencil.
*Before heat setting projects, should air dry for about 24 hours, longer for a thicker ink application. Our ink can be heat set in a variety of ways- oven, craft heating gun, or iron.
For more information on heat setting refer to the "Heat Setting Guide" blog post.
